Pending Floor Completion

Overview #

Aurion's derivative product suite โ€” commodity futures, options, and structured products โ€” represents the most capital-intensive and institutionally significant layer of the Migodi-Auric trading platform. These products are deliberately held back until the physical foundation is proven.

The derivative pipeline is documented, designed, and ready for activation. The gating condition is not technical โ€” it is strategic and principled.

๐Ÿ”’
Status: Pending floor completion. Derivative issuance is explicitly gated behind full ZAMACE commodity coverage and a broad, representative cooperative trade floor across all Zambian provinces. This is a CEO-level strategic directive from Cletus Mwiinga and is not subject to acceleration for capital markets or investor timeline reasons.

The Gating Condition #

The gating condition for derivative activation has three components, all of which must be satisfied simultaneously:

๐ŸŒพ
Full Cooperative Floor
Coop Pay Ltd must have onboarded cooperatives across all commodity categories โ€” gold, copper, grains, oilseeds, and energy โ€” in all ten Zambian provinces.
๐Ÿ’น
Full ZAMACE Coverage
Aurion and ZAMACE must have established active spot market coverage for every commodity category. No gaps in the underlying market.
๐Ÿ“Š
Proven Volume
Sufficient spot market volume must exist to support genuine price discovery and derivative hedging demand. Volume thresholds are defined in the FCGS/CRDDF MOU suite.

Settlement Options #

All Aurion derivative products will offer flexible settlement options, allowing counterparties to elect their preferred settlement currency at contract inception:

  • Afro Gold Dollar (AGD) โ€” default settlement currency for all commodity derivatives; gold-backed stablecoin provides stable unit of account
  • NdeipiCoin (NDX) โ€” equity-adjacent settlement for institutional counterparties seeking ecosystem alignment; governed by DESA ROFR provisions
  • Physical delivery โ€” available for gold and copper products via ZAMACE warehouse release; requires prior warehouse receipt holding
  • Zambian Kwacha (ZMW) โ€” fiat settlement option for domestic cooperative counterparties; routed through ABSA Bank Zambia

Exchange Listings Pipeline #

Once derivative issuance is activated, Aurion instruments will be listed on multiple exchanges through the Blockstation integration. The Blockstation integration brief targets:

  • NSE (Ndeipi Security Exchange) โ€” primary listing venue for NDX and Aurion instruments
  • Jamaica Stock Exchange โ€” via Blockstation integration
  • Barbados Stock Exchange โ€” via Blockstation integration
  • Eastern Caribbean Securities Exchange (ECSE) โ€” via Blockstation integration
  • Nigerian Exchange Group โ€” via Blockstation integration; largest African equity market
  • PDAC 2027 โ€” Migodi-Auric expression of interest submitted; mining sector institutional investor exposure
๐ŸŒ
African & diaspora market focus: The exchange listing strategy deliberately targets African and Caribbean diaspora capital markets โ€” not just major Western exchanges. This aligns with the Migodi-Auric mission of making African productive assets legible to African and diaspora capital first.
